Description: | From the Director’s Desk: The Centre for Public Policy and Governance (CPPG) welcomes its second batch of students to the Executive Masters in Public Policy program. This year we are expecting a larger and diverse group of professionals to join, as in addition to the Punjab Government, the private sector, NGOs and individuals working for international organizations have shown greater interest. We have also received several inquiries about the possible launch of our regular two year Masters and PhD programs and it gives me pleasure to share that we are gearing towards that goal. We continue to selectively expand our faculty—this year two young, talented and foreign qualified Economists have joined our team, we welcome them. Our Seminar Series is attracting participation from serious minded academia, policy makers and researchers, which is morale boosting for us. Besides refurbishing our existing programs, we are strenuously trying to set an agenda for our orthcoming research publications. We have launched a new initiative of eeking solicited articles from reputable scholars which are being put through the Peer Review process. Dr. Tayyeb Shabbir’s article is first of the series. In short we are making progress and need your continued support and constructive feedback on how to improve the quality and content of our programs. |
