In the present work, we have discussed the effects of adiabatic trapping of electrons on obliquely propagating Alfv en waves in a low b plasma. Using the two potential theory and employing the Sagdeev potential approach, we have investigated the existence of arbitrary amplitude coupled kinetic Alfv en-acoustic solitary waves in both the sub and super Alfv enic cases. The results obtained have been analyzed and presented graphically and can be applied to regions of space where the low b assumption holds trueen_US
